Un desesperado padre de familia llegó al extremo de cometer una locura mientras protestaba con tal de que no demolieran su casa. La policía intentaba desalojar a los ocupantes de casi un centenar de viviendas construidas en terreno que invadieron, y este hombre era uno de ellos.
El sujeto de 38 años de edad fue captado cuando desde el techo de su casa sostenía de forma peligrosa a su pequeña hija, por uno de los tobillos, y amenazaba con soltarla hacia el vacío si la policía no se retiraba del lugar.
De acuerdo con Alghadeer TV, el medio que publicó lo sucedido, un agente negociador subió al techo para tratar de convencer al padre para que desistiera de su amenaza e impedir que la bebé de un año saliera lastimada.
El intento del oficial no funcionó y el hombre al sentirse acechado lanzó a la pequeña por los aires. A pesar del terror de ese momento, afortunadamente para la bebé otros policías se habían preparado abajo y lograron atraparla.
Tras el insólito suceso, que se registró en el municipio de Joe Slovo en Kwadwesi, en la Costa este de Sudáfrica, el hombre fue arrestado y acusado de intento de asesinato. El caso ha quedado en manos de la unidad de Violencia Familiar, Protección Infantil y Delitos Sexuales, según el reporte.

He was protesting against an order to demolish 90 shacks built illegally at the Joe Slovo township in #Kwadwesi, near #Port_Elizabeth on South Africa’s eastern cape coast.The South African Police Service had been sent in to ensure the safety of the demolition team as 150 protesters began serious rioting throwing bricks and closing off roads with burning tyres. As calm was being restored the man climbed onto the roof of his #shack with his child and threatened to throw her to her death if the demolishers did not back off and leave his home alone. When negotiators failed to talk him down a rescue plan was launched by police which ended successfully with the fathers’ arrest and the safe recovery of the toddler who was thrown off the shack.The 38-year-old father has been charged with the attempted murder of his daughter and the case is being handled by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit’.
